Proposal For Policy Makers.. Secp , Sbp

Dear Friends Here I would like to draw ur attention towards the week point in control Corporate governance by State Bank (SBP)&SECP.. There are number of circulars.laws.regulation has been issued/established in pakistan for transparent system /affairs of the organization.... You will agree Internal Audit "Independency" is very important to play the role of internal auditors effectively...... So many statements ..bye laws..like memorandum of ass....article of ass....etc...are submitted to registrar for public companies.but neither SBP .nor SECP ever asked to submit a formal Internal Audit charter at the time of registration of company..... Y it is so.? In pakistan an internal Audit should follow the Professional Practice of The Institute of internal auditors..... as per this practice....one themost important is..... "Internal Audit Dept.. should have knowledge skills collectively to cover all aspect of its organization"........... this aspect has forget by SECP/SBP....atleast for listed companies and banks...for close monitoring within the company ...& every updation in the chrter should be submitted to SECP/SBP within a specif period........... how do u feel about the proposal.....whether it will help in to control the organizational process..... Regards.... Kh. Ehrar Ul Hasan APA,ACMA,CIA(Usa),MA(Eco),CIMA(Inter),IBP-Stage-I&II (Only Sky is the limit.$$$.....)

Accountancy Jokes

A lawyer, a doctor and an accountant are all applying to join the FBI. The have passed all tests but the final one. All three are in a waiting room ready for their final test. First, the lawyer is given a gun and told to go into the room and execute the spy sitting in the chair. The lawyer goes into the room, sees the person sitting in the chair blindfolded. He lifts the blindfold and sees its his wife. He leaves the room saying he could not shoot her. The lawyer is told he failed the test and can not become an FBI agent. Next the doctor is given a gun and is told to execute the spy. The doctor goes into the room, sees the person sitting in the chair blindfolded. He lifts the blindfold and sees its his wife. He leaves the room saying he could not shoot her. The doctor is told he failed the test and can not become an FBI agent. Finally the accountant is given a gun and is told to execute the spy. The accountant goes into the room and the agents outside the room hear a gun shot. After this they hear a lot a rustling and banging. Finally the accountant comes out and says, "someone put blanks in the gun so I had to choke her to death.

Decline Of Sports In Pakistan

There was a time when in the mid ninties we were (1) World champion of cricket and hockey. (2)we ruled the Squash for almost twenty years.no body came close to us.one of our player was world champion for ten years. (3) one of ur unknown player just came, saw and conquer the world snooker championship. In country like pakistan a win in cricket or hockey was the only source of happiness for poor and disappionated people. but now i has finished as well. we were known through out the world due to hockey and squash.but now we are rank 5th in cricket and hockey and none of our players are in the first 20 of squash and snooker. This is really a disgrace and painful if u are a true pakistani. Before this decline we could have said proudly that only one department in which our country is exceptional, is sports. i think the main reason of this are politicians.TO gain fame they aimlessly interfere with there matters. WHAT u people think, are the reasons of ur decline, bilal

Mobile Theft Tracking

I just received this from a MENSA group. Check this out: KEDA and sindh police in collaboration with Mobile zone is introducing a web-based computerized system through which a stolen mobile phone can be tracked. This system is designed in wake of high rise in mobile snatching crime and its easily selling in open mobile market. A web based system will help user to launch it’s complain of mobile phone theft from any where on given website address. It will shorten the time to stop reselling of that stolen mobile set in open market. Every shop owner has to verify from the website or the phone numbers provided by KEDA before purchasing any used mobile set. Its operation is very simple and user friendly. Internet is available every where so it’s very easy to make complain on website first, and then register F.I.R at police station. User has to submit F.I.R number on the website after launching the initial complain of snatching of mobile set in which he or she has to submit the IMEI number to mobile phone. A stolen mobile can only be tracked from its IMEI number which is written on back side of mobile set or after dialing *#06# from any mobile set. All users have to keep this number at safe place or remember and mention that number while launching complain of mobile theft on website or KEDA phone numbers. A mobile seller has to confirm the purchase to used mobile phone either from website or from KEDA phone numbers. Special phone numbers are given on which they can check either mobile set is stolen or not, by giving IMEI number of that set. All shop owners have to take information of the person who is selling used mobile phone. A printed book will be issued to all shop owners and after verifying from either website or from KEDA phone numbers, he has to submit that receipt at KEDA office. By all this, a comprehensive data of snatched mobile phones will be developed and it will be very easy to catch thieve when he comes to sell snatched mobile phone in market. Source: http://mtrack.mobilezone.org/ Do u guys think that this system will work? I dont think any other country has experimented with this kind of system, or has it? What about the UK&UAE? Is mobile theft common there too, Pracs&Azeem Shah Khan sahib ?
