Cima Or Cma ...?

According to resources USA accounting is about 20 years ahead of UK accounting, but i m still confused... What to choose cima or cma ? Two rules of happy living: 1. The ability to experience Everything. 2. Be able to create an effect that can be easily experienced by others.

Acca Exam Secret Shared

Dear Friends To introduce myself I am ACCA and ACMA qualified. In ACMA I was 1st in Foundation, whereas in ACCA I was Pakistan place winner in paper 2.1, 2.4, 3.4 and third in core papers. In paper 3.4 I was also world second. So far to establish credibility. The secret is please read your institutions syllabus / paper objectives. You will know the thrust of the paper from the objectives. Do not blindly depend on course providers even the established ones. If people who appeared for ACCA new syllabus 3.4 in 2002 and 2003 recall, their had been questions and models in exams which were not in the text books. The key was to study the objectives of the paper alongside with ACCA issued syllabus guidelines. The second secret (other than accounting papers) is , please learn to digest soft information given in scenarios and must be able to clearly apply a grid/model to it. Thirdly for ACCA final stage students (other than accounting papers), please remember that strategic thinking and globalisation are at the core of all non accounting papers. I shall be glad to be of help, if any student so desires. Thanks Aamer Sikandar

Ca, Or Mba (from Lums Or Us ?)

Hi, I am currently doing A-levels from Karachi Grammer School in Pakistan. I got 11 A's in my O-levels&I am supposed to choose a career now. But I am confused. I have a zest for accounts (got 99% in O-levels)&business subjects in general. So, I thought about the following options: 1) Doing Chartered Accountancy (CA) 2) MBA from Lums / IBA 3) MBA from a "good" US university After completing education, I want to remain in Pakistan. In your opinion, which option should I take ? I'll be highly obliged to anyone, who expressed his opinion. Thanks in advance ! Edited by - AvgJoe on Oct 25 2004 10:40:36 PM

Is It Feasible To Do Acca & Then Ca ?

Hi, I have heard that if you do ACCA, you can get exemption from ICAP from Module (A-D). Thus, you only have to do Module (E&F) and at the end you are both CA&ACCA. Is this route of doing CA possible&preferbable to the normal one ? Are there any advantages/disadvantages of doing ACCA instead of Module (A-D) ? And is ACCA more difficult then Module (A-D) of ICAP ? I'll be anxiously waiting for some words of wisdom ! Thanks, AvgJoe Edited by - avgjoe on Oct 27 2004 08:30:12 AM

Crying For Help

Hi ,,, How are you guys.... I am new to the forum and having few queries...Hope any one will guide me with all his best. First of all i want to introduce myself as my name is Muhammad Awais Ashfaq and i belongs to Vehari.I am giving you a detail of my educational background. BCS(3 years) from BZU multan post graduate diploma in computer sciences(1 year) diploma in information technology(1 year) MCSE (Microsoft certified system engineer) OCP (Oracle certified professional) As clear from my educational background that i am an IT professional although i have studied accounting in Bcs but not very much(any way i got 96% in accounting). But now i want to get admission in ACCA from Financial training company(london). As i think that going further in computer education is almost useless because there are almost same subject which i have already studied. My father is AVP in Habib Bank and he wants me to do ACCA and i am also commited to do it.I know i will be criticized by many forum fellows coz of changing my field but u guys beleive me here is no bright future for computer education and what i have done will be an edge to me of having vast knowlege of IT and Accouning as well. I want to ask that should i do ACCA or CIMA which one is better. As ACCA always attracts me because of oxford brooks degree. It does not matter what is the grade of oxford brooks university as in few answers of forum it is written that oxford brooks has low grading ... all matters is having awarded a degree from british university without any time consuming. Any one having exprience of getting or rejecting admission in London school of Economics... because other wise else than ACCA or CIMA i would prefer to apply for (Bsc accounting and finance)from LSE.. So any one having any experience please share it with me... As you all guys r related to accounting(Acca or Cima) so many of u must have experiece for trying to complete or start ACCA or CIMA from abroad specially England. So what would be possible answers to visa officer if he ask me that why you r joining acca or cima instead of computing field.More over i heared a gossip lots of times that normally acca candidates for visa are rejected because visa officer normally use to say that ACCA is widely available in pakistan(not in case of Cima) Please answer it in light of your experience.. waiting waiting&waiting AWAIS ASHFAQ AWAISASHFAQ@YAHOO.COM awais

Discusting And Ashaming

Hi All People doing Professional in Pakistan, This is a Issue of reciprocal membership... for foreign qualified ACA of "The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England&Wales", The ICAP has announced exemptions and they need to give a very limited set of papers BUT if U look it otherwise then U see that the ICAEW is not offering any reciprocal membership program.. They take U to a messy procedure of CREDIT APPLICATION.....This is fucking shameful............. See what the Site SAYS.... http://www.icaew.co.uk/careersoverseas/index.cfm?AUB=TB2I_69904,MNXI_69904 Shah................ Its From Shah
