Private Study

Someone was telling me as i'm a converson student, before I got into a frim I should do some exam papers and see if accountancy is for me. I've been told you can get the ca without signing up with a firm i.e. through private study and paying only registration and exam fees. The only exceptions is the work exerience component in which case you have to sign up with a firm. My questions are: 1)How much of the couse can i complete through private study and how much needs to be done with a firm. 2)How do people do private study? Do you use a study guide or something? If so where can I get it, can you direct me to some resources etc. Thank you

Information Abount Firm Placement

I have recently been made aware of the fact that if a person goes to uk for doing his ACCA..institutions like FTC and other dont guarantee you firm placement for your work experince.Now thats something which is bothering me at the moment because after giving my papers n then not getting a firm placement is pretty disappointing..and finding one in uk as an international student is very hard.Any views u people have regarding this?

hi i want a lot of information but in detail so please guide me specially my seniors.i will be thank full to you. i am interested in cma cfm and cfa.first of all how many papers we have to give of each qualification.(seperately) how many papers we can give in an year.after giving all the papers we get the certificate straight away.or we have to work for few years.if yes then for which qualification(which are mentioned above) we have to get experience.and can we get a job in abroad before getting certificate. the last 2 very important questions can we study these qualifications after a levels or we should have done bachelors. secondly whats the pay in starting from a normal company. one last question what are the contents of these qualifications i meanthey are totally accounting or economics and some other subjects are also part of this qualifications please can any one guide me in detail about these questions.i have send the mail to ima also and to aimr but they didnt replied. thank adeel akhter
