This is to initiate awareness on the emerging need for all organization(DFIs specially), for Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning, which has become the defacto standard for DFIs to comply with International Standards as well as with SBP's prudential.
BCP deals with planning,to avoid, any disruption in the business procedures of an organization due to any hazards or some potential incident. Recovery Procedures aiming fast and timely recovery of the business, ensuring low down time, are developed.
Best Practices and Standards are defined in the ISO/IEC 17799 Standard for setting out a framework for BC Management.
BCP has emerged as one of the cheif business Functions , in the recent past.This has make it a lucrative profession as well, with huge growth potential in it as well.
I would hereby, request the senior professionals, and research oriented Youngsters to share their expereinces, knowldge, and wisdom on the Domain....
