I am interested in forming an IT company. Can somebody let me know the requirements and taxation process.

There are three type of companies. 1. Single Member Ltd. Company 2. Private Ltd. Company 3. Public Ltd. Company. You will have to decide about what type of company u want to form. Before formation of a company u will have to apply with Registrar of Companies / SECP for availability of the name of ur proposed company. After that u will have to fulfill all their requirements. After completion of their formalities you will have to also apply for National Tax Number to your tax office and after that you will have to apply for your Sales Tax Registration number, etc etc etc. You pls visit www.secp.gov.pk to understand about formation of company and then visit www.cbr.gov.pk to understand about issuance of NTN and Sales Tax Registration Number. Thanks. Basically I am looking to form a private limited company. As far as I have heard, IT companies are tax exempted.
