During the last Annual General Meeting held at Lahore on December 25, 2006, our members had shown great concern over the recognition issue of one of the Accounting Institutes of Australia. At that time I had promised the members that we would leave no stone unturned to get the due recognition for the Institute from the Australian Accounting Institutes who are members of IFAC.

Today, I am pleased to forward an email received from Mr. Robert DiMonte FCA, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). The letter enclosed is self-explanatory and it would benefit our members who are applying for immigration to Australia. We are in contact with ICAA for further details on this matter. The details of ICAA can be seen on

This is not the end, rather it is just the beginning of a new era of success for ICMAP. We are also in contact with other reputable International Accounting bodies for reciprocal exemptions.
