Can anyone tell me the worth of Association of International Accountants(AIA) membership with reference to UK job market?

AIA is not a chartered body so naturally it would have a lesser share of the market than other professional bodies in UK and else where. sumbdy once mentioned that they have been trying ot get their charter approved since 1992 but so far they havent been successful...
