Salam!I have a friend who is pursuing BCOM at the moment after leaving CA.She wants to know about suitable, affordable(i.e Pakistani only) higher studies options.I could only think of MCOM or MBA since CA,ACCA etc cannot be considered. Please give suggestions about currently 'in' qualifications that she could consider.Include details about estimated costs and duration of degree etc. Also which options in MBA like Finance or Marketing etc are more viable and require less field-work.Thank you.
Walaikum Assalam
Dear, she can start ACMA from ICMAP, as its a Pakistani Qualification ,its a Certification specialises in Management Accounting, its Affordable costs around PKR 125000 (more or less),it has good job market here in Pakistan as well as abroad but one need to work really hard to complete it.The duration is 3 years but normally it takes 4 years or more.
In MBA, marketing has better scope than Finance but it requires more feild work.If she wants to take admission in MBA then she should go for better & a reputable institution.

Regards
Thanks for your reply.I will impart this info to her. There is no mandatory articleship requirement for ACMA like CA,right? And she had passed Mod A and Mercantile law of Module B before leaving CA.Can she get any exemptions on the basis of these 3 papers and/or BCOM?
Secondly, what other options are available in MBA apart from Marketing and Finance?Advise about as many as you know with comparisons.Thank you.
Yes there is no mandatory articleship requirement for ACMA ,you will be awarded CMA certificate after completing your 6 stages & after 3 years of experience in relevant feild, you will become ACMA.They are awarding exemptions in 3 papers of Stage 1 (economics, accounting & law) on the basis of B.COM (if her aggregate marks of B.com part 1 & 2 in these subjects are 50% or above).
Other Options in MBA are Management Information System (MIS) & Human Resource Management(HRM). HRM also has good scope in market.
@S.A.ShamsiThanks for your help,I have given my friend all this info and she is grateful.
