Hi all, I have a 3 mth exercise to ' sort out ' the asset register of a large FMCG company here in south africa. After talking to the financial controller the ffg is understood
1. Asset register is mostly up to date.
2. About 11000 assets
3. Costing unit heads are resp. For assets in their unit. Currently, units not aware of assets they are resp.for; need to sort register for easy maintenance.
4. Staff not aware of tags
5. Several issues picked up during audit
6. Working on JDE and excel.

Pls. Can I have some ideas on how to approach this exercise. Best way to breakdown register, make costing centers aware of the assest register etc. All input will be appreciated. Thanks
