WHICH ONE IS BEST ICMA OR ACCA.HOW MUCH SALARY WE GET IN BOTH FIELD IN PAKISTAN AND DUBAI.
MAXIMUM SALARY OF ACCA AND ICMA IN PAK AND DUBAI.

ACCA is better than ICMA (Pak) or CIMA (UK),,, if you look at the ME market... salary depends on relevant experience,, if you have a 3 year big 4 experience,,, i'd say ranges from Dirhams 5,000-7,000..

Agreed with Pracs, i dont know about the current ME environment, as far as Pakistan is concerned, You must go for ACCA, as ACCAs pace of growth and popularity is mush faster than ACMA, Im sure that ACCAs will capture the pakistani market if compared with ACMAs.

Dear Friends

I agreed with your comments that ACCA is better then ACMA(Pak) as far as pakistan is concern due to agri- base economy......but it is very difficult for ACCA to have a position as a substitute of ICMA grad..inspite of the fact that emplyers/students are moving towards ACCA then ICMAP/ICAP qualifieds.......& it is truth after ACCA , ICAP revenues & no. of students has declined .........but as far as CIMA (ACMA), UK is concern i again do not agree with u all.....What CIMA has prooved in UK market CIMA grad. can do any thing except finanical audit...(other performance evaluation he can do better than all in the world)........If u go in further deatils,then u will find the edge of CIMA over ACCA or ACA(Pak) on others ...being a professinal accounting body it has its own research over different areas of business & applications of IAS-AS other laws...even IFAC requests/prefers CIMA to do reseach for curretn projetcs of IASB/IFAC( Source IFAC/CIMA Web Site)...Futher go through the study material of CIMA u will find as..CIMA defines "management Accounting" as....CIMA defines "out sourcing" as... all other things.....etc..wat deos it mean it has its own research it does not adopt defination of others on CORE CIMA topics...while they (ICAP,ICAMP, ACCA...) they dont have such sort of arrangement.....It is just like a ufone add...Do u have MMS/GPRS in ur fone...." Furhter Consolidatin of CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA is being considered but not ACCA......why....? beco z they know ACCA is not competeive qualification for them......

As far as Pakistan is concern , CIMA qualification will pay u when u will have 5 years experience with CIMA-ACMA....see the sunday dawn for all blue chips.....they prefer CIMA or foiegn qualified person over ACA-ICAP ...see the last sundays add of Pakistan Paper printing....ABACUS Global consultant,,Glaxosmith...Engro Chemicals, etc...for Senior Manager/CFO........

As far as dubai is concern wat I heared they prefer to CIMA in all jobs except audit............

Now as far as supply /demand is concern from last two years only six CIMA qualifies in Pakistan in one attempt......

yes defintely it does not see.....CIMA qualified are on top post as such but they are few.very few but on the top...Javaid Iqbal ,FCMA-CIMA Ex-Director Philips , Badruddin Fakhiri , FCMA-CIMA, Director Finance, Senior Manager Fianance Hub Power & co....CIMA qualifed ..when he left company then the same company published add for CIMA qualified.......becoz they know there is no substitute of CIMA.....dear...

I repeat , they are few but on the Top.........

With due respect to you all , I disagree .

It is a known fact that ACCA is far more easier to OVERCOME ( READ PASS )than exams of ICMAP or ICAP .

I have seen hordes of COOTCHY COOES ) clearing the parts of ACCA like a piece o' cake . I am afraid the same cannot be said regarding ICMAP . The passing criteria is far far more tougher than ACCA .

Regarding the ads of Blue chip Corporations for an ACCA ! ! ! ! ; errrrrrrrr.....
the ppl at the top echelons donot even aware of the fact that how an ACCA is going to WORK OUT and file the tax return and how come THE Mortgage and Charge register have not been maintained . )

Finally ACCA has somehow its worth simply because there is a CA at the end and that appeals .

As far as comparison to ACMA , no way .

We are discussing more of the market image these degrees have,.. ACCA stands out in the middle east for sure,, people have no idea about ACMA in here.. I agree they have lower pass percentages for ACMA.. but what good is that,, if it does not translate into a Market savy degree.. any ACCA who's through a Big 4 is pretty much conversant with law and tax issues.. the new breed of ACCAs will overcome this too with local variants being offered from Dec 2004

Yes sure thing Mr.Pracs , An Anglo Saxon OR Yankee Doodle Or French Poodle Degree is most sought after in the M.E , even if the degree is from a remote village of Corsica or from a smallville near the Alps , the Sheikhs dig them ....NO Matter what is the REAL worth , Western Qualification is high in demand .

(any ACCA who's through a Big 4 is pretty much conversant with law and tax issues..)

Well for that matter... french poodle or yankee doddole aside... pakistani CA is also highly regarded here.. in the middle east.. but i have not met many ACMA's at higher positions,,,

its for u all to figure out...

Big 4.. are ofcourse 4....

PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY...

Every body in the accounting profession knows about them, even ACMAs... the others have fizzled out. Andersen closed down,.. Coopers & Lybrand and PwC merged many years ago,.. Touche Ross, and Deloitte Haskin Sells merged too ages ago.. so did Peat Marwick and KPMG...

i agree with shehzad because i like to disagree with what all you people say. ACCA is a piece of cake and anyone can pass ACCA thats why i hate it like shehzad. because shehzad is a tough guy and wants to do the toughest things and i'm his big big fan so i too hate ACCA.
