How many clients a trainee student can finalize in his 4 year articleship (being Senior, Job Incharge, or Supervisor)
as I got a CV in which a guy mentioned that he has finalized 15 listed companies as a Job incharge, 6 Companies as Semi Senior, etc etc. etc.
can anybody tell me ?????

The guy must have had a pretty long articleship period (both as registered and non-registered trainee), i say of about 6-7 years atleast!!!

If that isnt the case, then he must be telling lies! <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

furthermore he wrote that he has finalized Ibrahim Fibres, when I asked him what is business of that company, he said it manufactures Polypropylene Fibre <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I havent heard of Ibrahim Fibres before, so what do they exactly do?

It manufactures Polyester Staple Fibre, (which in simple words is called man made cotton) as it is manufactured by PTA, MEG, ACN as a major raw material,
The finished goods of fibre industry is used by the Textile Mills (Spinning Mills),
Polyester Staple fibre is considered as monopolise product in Pakistan, Major manufacturers include Dewan Salman Fibre, Ibrahim Fibre, ICI Pakistan, Rupali Fibre, Dhan Fibre (now merged into Dewan Salman Fibre).
but that guy mentioned "Polypropylene Fibre" whereas Polypropylene is a Plastic Item, which is manufactered by HDPE as major raw material, the best example of Polypropylene Product is the Bags which are used to Pack the Sugar.

Yes, i did so, i called the firm from where he completed his articleship and asked about him, they replied we need time to provide information, as his articlehip was from 1994 to 1998, it means they have to look into the previous records, so what do u expect will they provide the information ?????????

well you got a very interesting situation.

The guy says he has done x amount of work. you have no basis to doubt his statement. I mean if your experience does not support his statement, that doesnot automatically mean that he is telling lies. Saying someone is telling lies is a very big statment in itself and one must be carefull in passing such remarks.

If the person is professionally qualified then I doubt he would give inaccurate information as it might come back to him any point in time in his professional lifetime. If the person is not qualified, you could assume at this stage that he is correct as you have no basis to doubt his statement. However, if you discover through experience and from other sources that he gave you inaccurate info. you could easily sit down and ask his for explanation.

Must give him a chance to explain, he might have a perfectly valid reason. people differ in productivty and efficency.

15 listed companies as Job Incharge ?????? as in top five Job incharge is usually a person who has completed his 2 1/2 to 3 years of his articleship.
so in your One and a half year, can u do 15 listed companies,
one minor listed company normally takes a minimum of one month time period.

I've seen seniors they became seniors afer 2 years.
his article's from 94 to 98 might mean its the duration he was registered and unregistered time is not included. He could be from a firm that gives you registration after ruining your one attempt (normally AFF and FRRM) so if he was senior for 2 and a half years, that takes it closer to the 15 job marks, but still its worth investigating if the person isnt freaking lying.

what firm he actually was from? my guess he's from yousuf adil.

you know what did he say??? he said, actually i got the format of CV on floppy from one of my friends then I made ammendments in the softcopy, and this is actually a typing mistake <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I posted this topic just to tell the upcoming articles completed students, that never write anything wrong in your CV, which are unable to explain during the interview, if you are going to blough in your CV then always keep the answers with you for the cross questioning of the interviewer <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
