Is there anything like CPA Insti or ICPAP in Pak - raomimran - 01-20-2009
Hi All
I have gone through this website www.icpap.com.pk which claim to be the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Pakistan. Currently i am working as an Auditor but i never heard of any institute in Pakistan which claim to be working like ICAP of ICMA in Pakistan. Uptil now i heard that CPA can only be done by going to US and there is no other way to do CPA. Please tell me is this a real Institute or are they imposters who claim to be CPA granting Institute in Pakistan.

Well, the website is out of order, and its not a member/associate of IFAC, I doubt its usefulness.

In Pakistan, There are two members institutes
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan
Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan
Whereas PIPFA is an associate
Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA)

I have been told by someone(its not my claim, i am just passing info) that ICPAP is life UK AAT or CAT.
