salam every body,
I am a bsc(hons) accounting and finance student at LUMS (freshmen this year)... i just got to know yesterday that lums sponsors top 5 students of every acf batch for taking cfa...believe me.
i just heard the word "cfa" for the first time a week ago, so i don't know anything what it is? what it's importance etc..can anyone guide me what's cfa and how to apply etc? future prospects ? The reason i want to know this is that if cfa sponsored by lums is really a big DEAL. THEN i can try to be in top 5. In this way i would have an incentive to study.. Help would be appreciated.

CFA is a thing that beats MBA and makes MBA look like a chicken. Go to www.cfainstitute.org. You want a million dollar advice for free? ) Okay here we go!.......soon as you graduate go for CFA part 1. It has 3 levels. You'll be way ahead than ordinary MBA lot. But if you can do an MBA from LUMS that's also not bad unless you don't do it from a **** HOLE college.
