Advance payment for import - safdar - 03-04-2011
Guys I have a little complicated help needed.
I start a new business for import of industrial spare parts, registered as importer/exporter in FBR.
1.Now I have asked banks and they tell me that advance payment is not allowed by SBP. Is there any other way, except L/c as my supplier wont agree due to costs invloved.
2.If I take advance payment from a local customer to supply him product from abroad, how can I invoice him directly from abroad so that he cleares the product from airport himself. (i will just be acting as an agent myself). Will the invoice be mine or of my principles? And how will he show the payment made to import, when he givve the payment in local to me and I will remitt it to the supplier abraod. Andagain how can I send it in advance?

Ap Supplier say performa invoice mangwa lain or LC kay ilawa dosra option use karlain ap contract ka y zariay import karlain ,performa invoice may advance payment ka clause hona zaroori hay eg invoice agar 20000 $ ki hay to 20 % adv payment mention hona zaroori hay yad rakhya ga aik waqat may 10000 $ say zada ki advance payment bank nahi karay ga agar us ki adv payment 10000 $ say zada ban rhi hay to ap ko performa invoice usi hisab say mangwani parain gi.

actuaaly this is not the issue. First of all 10,000 USD ki clause is only for industrial consumer for spare parts.
Second , that the advance payment commercial importer keh liay bank kerta he nai hay..
Third if my supplier asks for 50 % advance payment and 50% before delivery, phir what option do i have?
