Tax deposited against Wrong NTN - akbarkhan2 - 06-17-2011
Dear All
i've deducted withholding tax from a vendor but uploaded and deposited it against other vendors NTN and name erroneously, Tax payment was acknowledged by FBR and CPR generated. is there anyway i can change it to the right one? and made correction or edit the CPR.
How can i rectify my error.

Request for Revision is the only option. But its quite lengthy process.

it not very long process just one page request and one affidivate give about wrong ntn# and deposit your rto.
i also gone on this process for the format of request detail just email me

We have an issue last time
a tax payment challan of a client was made here at lahore and before we made the payment of tax, some one at islamabad paid against same challan.
we received the confirmation through payment receipt at our email account.we waited for few days and later on we had to submit withholding tax statement so we gave that islamabad based payment receipt CPR number and system accepted it.
now the questions are
how that happend we made the tax challan here and some one paid it at islamabad mistakenly? (i want to know the error in system which allowed this payment)
secondly
how that person can get that paid challan cancelled?
and thirdly
how we will come to konw that challan is cancelled so that we may pay the tax amount out of our own pocket?
