Academic vs Professional career
Hello,

I found my self talented in teaching and lecturing, someone advised me to get a doctorate degree and try to find a position in the academic field. is it wise to switch or stay in the professional career?

Traditionally speaking, one should opt for the career which matches his aptitude (not so sure how it could be applied in Pakistan).

Yourself should determine what career you have to pursue. Others opinion should be given a good ear, but its gonna be you who is to make the ultimate decision.

Going for a doctorate degree, the things to be considered may be

- the available opportunities after qualification.
- the alternatives you have to sacrifice

A person who has gone through the same process may give some valuable opinions

I am 26 years old with BSC in commercial studies major accounting with grade pass, and i am an ACCA student. Also i have one year audit experience in one of the big four audit firms.
