Hi humaira

Very nice topic, but would you mind correcting the spelling of the topic, cos it wouldnt ever show up in search if one tries to search for the word 'islamic'? <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hmmm... when a person embraces islam, he gets himself registered with the Heavenly Registration Authority as a POSSIBLE candidate for entry into the pearly gates at some later time.

Arrrgh... it sure's gonna be mighty rough sailin' today ... mates!
Okey ....... lets check our knowledge about Islamic history ....... How many of you know the name of 5th Khalifa ...........

I totally agree with Guybrush but just want to add few things that when u embrace islam then don't try to find out any do and dont's just follow it within its full framework as Quran say" logoo islaam meni poorey key poorey daakhil ho jaoo" so after this verse there is nothing to findout way to release outself.
Now a days it's fashion that we want justification of our deeds(i mean the one which are not good in either sence morally and socially) and if if we find good way it's ok otherwise we say our scholars are madrasas breed and they don't know anything and bla bla bla

Hazrat Umer Bin Abdul Aziz is referred to as 5th Khalifa

That was a simple history question ........ give the answer according to chronological order ....... who was the 5th khalifa????????? the Answer was .... Hadrat Hassan (Raziallah Ta-aallah)
Now the next question .... Who came into force after him???????

I m not sure but i think Hazrat Ammer Mauvia.... m i right?

Right .....Augustus ....... Now mates .....who was next .......????

well ophies sahab it was the end of khilafat though scholars don't consider Hazrat Ameer Mauvia as Khalifa and He appointed his son Yazeed as khalifa ........ m i right

I put you in very interested question,

1) What is the meaning of Jihad (Holy War?)
2) How many ways are to do the Jihad?
3) Difference between Jihad and Terrorism
4) 9/11 was a Jihad or terrorism
5) whats a appropriate way of Jihad OR which way is more suitable for Jihad in present situation

Regards,

Sajjad Dar

Just for now I give the answer of one question

2) there are three ways of Jihad which are following -

i) JIHAD BILNAFS …jihad to yourself, jihad to keep yourself away from the sins. Our Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) said “JIHAD BILNAFS is a greatest Jihad”.

ii) JIHAD BIL-KALAM…to do Jihad with your KALAM (knowledge), you can do jihad with your knowledge (here we can guess how important education is in Islam). We can do jihad with our knowledge e.g. Judges can do jihad by providing the Justice…scientist can do jihad by preparing new weapons etc.

iii) JIHAD BIS-SAIF…fight with Sward (here it doesn’t mean to fight with sward, hers its mean fight with any kind of weapon e.g. Tanks, Guns, Missile). Here people have so much misunderstanding about the jihad. There are so many rules for this Jihad; you can’t kill innocent people etc. If you have army than you (public) can’t fight against the enemy until asked to do so by the prime minister etc.

I leave other questions for the forum members........................

opposing anything thatz against Islamic Laws is Jihad
u have already mentioned the types of Jihad
Jihad and terrorism are totally different things...(Jihad doesnt means to kill innocent ppl...in terrorism it is allowed)
9/11 was not Jihad...and also mind it thatz not done by Muslims...
there is no concept of "jaan bachao" ya "maal bachao" in Islam...kion k jaan aur maal tou Allah ki amanat hai hamaray paas...so we re not doing Jihad in the current situation...

Ace
I shall not comment on first two questions as these are text book questions and anyone can answer it.

I'll comment on last three questions though.

3) Difference between Jihad and Terrorism
"Terrorism" will benefit some person or some state or certain group of people.
"Jihad" will benefit the whole Islamic nation. So an act of war which is planned to benefit Islamic nation as a whole according to teachings of Islam will be cosidered as "Jihad" no matter what the consequences are. Jihad is farz on every mulim of an "Islamic State" when the ruler of state declares it.

4) 9/11 was a Jihad or terrorism

In My opinion, 9/11 was nothing but an act to provide excuse to USA for doing whatever it is doing right now.

5) whats a appropriate way of Jihad OR which way is more suitable for Jihad in present situation

Jihad doesn't mean suicide. Islam never allows suicide. Islamic nation has to get itself able to compete other nations in all respects. Right now every thing for betterment of Islamic nation is Jihad. Even getting educated is Jihad. We should learn from "Sulah -e- Hudabia" ..... we need time and peace in order to develope. Right now any act buying us some time and peace is Jihad. We have no time to lose if we want to survive 21st century. Lets declare this century "the century of education" for Islamic nation. Get educated first to know your religion. Thats the only way ...............

Has the topic been concluded?????????

Cmon Mates ............. Showsome interest in islamic topics ........ This topic should generate more traffic than discussion on pornstars.........

Dear Humaira

i think one of the reasons nobody ever started any discussion over Islam is that it is an OPEN FOR ALL forum where any race, any religion and any nationality can participate. secondly discussions over ISLAM can lead to differences among members due to different sects, believes and lack of knowledge.

although i dont see any issue discussing it if we are mature and calm enough to listen to other versions than our own. (which is sadly not the case here).

moreover, there are a number of Islamic websites to gain from, discussing Islamic issues without enough knowledge may make us say things we dont really know.

kind regards

azeem
