I heard of hec.gov.pk, giving ratings to private universities;
somebody told be it was released but i can't find it,; can somebody help

hi...the Universities' Ratings was announced by HEC in the month of November...and was appeared in "Jang" sunday edition...i dont remember the date...
LUMS, IBA, FAST, Ripha International Universities were ranked as Class A....
SZBIST, Preston, ISA, Central Punjab...were ranked as B
NCBA, Hajvery, Superior as C....
baaki mujhay yaad nahin...sorry!

i can't find it on the jang site, although the november newsletter of hec does say to release the ratings in jan 2005

A commendable step by HEC, this will pave the way for further improvement in the private sector institutes. Having said that, I feel that HEC should have also rated government Universities. That would provide some stimulus to the public schools to compete and or maintain a certain level. Like are PU and KU in the same league ??
