The uncorfirmed news of the sad demise of BB is a huge loss to the nation.
Be prepared ...

Read Quran for the solution of this situation ...
We should pray that history doesn't repeat itself. The sentiments of a group of people are not very different from Bengalis, and our leaders are always there to cash the situation. The speed at which circumstances are changing shows that anything can happen.

The demise was sad or not depends upon one's own point of view
ALLAH subhan wa taalla hum par rehm karay aur hum sab muslamno ko mil kar rahnay ki toufeeq atta farmaye ameen

ALLAH kafiro ko kafiro se lara de ameen

aur hamaray khilaf sazishain karnay walo ki sazishain nakam bana day ameen ....
Amin. Infact it is a very critical situation. We should all pray for the sustainability of our country.

In my view the current biggest problem is the craze for power(kursi) which is creating such problems. I pray that Allah keep my Country safe and sound.
Dears,

I have just gone through the whole thread.

Death of any one is a painful event and incident. Even an enemy's or opponent's death is not to be celebrated as such. Here, I dont mean that any one has done this any where. Rather, I just concluded that BB's death specially, the way it happened, is very painful for the masses and there is no other comment or argument.

BB was a learned political leader of Pakistan. I would probably not be wrong if I say that she was the only POLITICALLY INTELIGENT leader which our country had before her death.

After the death of Z.A. Bhuttu in 1979, if we analyze, the last 28 years gave us only two leaders which we can call leaders in true sense keeping in view the genuine substantial public support they have behind them. Here I dont get into debate regarding the evalution process of various leaders that whether or not they had been promoted by army rulers. It is some thing out of the context at the moment. These two leaders are BB and Nawaz Shareef. This I conclude with reference to the substantial DIVERSIFIED general public support they have from masses. I just exclude Altaf Hussain from this list becoz his supporters are specific to one race and caste/sub-nation and are also restricted to a samll proportion in the meaning of area. He is never (so far) accepted by diversified masses.

Now out of these two leaders BB and Nawaz, BB was (in my view) much educated, influential, composed, experienced, concentrated and wise leader than Nawaz. She was also not having any blame of being brought up by some army ruler as in case of Nawaz people oftenly say.

(I talk about BB as a politician and popular leader. Here I am not discusisng any of corruption charges on her or on her husband and any of her connections with USA. Further, in my view every leader of Pakistan is corrupt and has connections with USA, therefore, it is not an exclusive charge).

Anyways, there are two leaders evolved in this phase of 28 years history of Pakistan, if we check the total regime goverened by them alternatively, it would not be more than 10 years. This makes 36% of the 28 years tenure after Bhuttu' death. Resultantly 64% of this tenure goes to army directly.

This is what has lead us to the current situation. First of all our most of leaders dont have the ability to reach the level where BB was, seconly army never wants any capable person to govern the country through politically and democratically elected persons. I last day saw the column of Mr. Maqbool Oriya Jan in daily Express. He wrote facts about some Italian army dictator who totally ruined the countary and always considered his-self to be the only vigilant and patriot italian. Same is happening in Pakistan at the moment. I understand that the worst dictator considers his-self the only true Pakistani. He dont wnat to surrender his position at any cost. When this situation arises, the countaries collapse. May Allah save Pakistan.

Some people feel that we should get prepared for Jehad due to Pakistan's circumstances. I just feel pitty on their thought. They just want to see some genie out of the bottle on just uttering out of some words from the mouth. This is thought of fools' paradise. I agree jehad is farz but is it a spontaneous activity. Can we fight with sticks and swords in this era, are we united enough to do so by gathering our resources, have we ever reached on some national consensus.

Further, from which nation we expect that they will do jehad. The nation which kills each other? The nation which fired out the innocents' cars jeaps and properties, the nation which always took the benefit of such circumtances and starts looting the general publics' homes, the nation which sets its all trains, busses and railway stations to fire which in fact has nothing to do with any such incident (like BB's death), the nation which harms its own self, the nation which always speaks about breaking their federation and joint existence on the basis of sindhi punjabi saraiki mahajir etc slogans, the nation which says about "Na Khappay Pakistan", the nation which causes death to a number of patients by blocking roads and pasages, the nation which could not even learn how to react on various situations, the nation that is practically illetrate, the nation which ignores the fact that human being has crossed the limits of moon and mars in other parts of the world, the nation majority of which is itself extremely corrupt and feels proud of their corruption in jobs and other affairs, the nation which is never united, the nation which is totally backward and has nothing advanced technical knowledge, the nation in which one society member is feared of the other, the nation where every one takes advantage of his position and resources at th cost of all the losses of his brothers and sisters.

From whom we expect will do jehad. Are we in a position to do jehad against our own nafs? It appears very strange to me when we talk about jehad while our nafs could never be defeated by us. If we cant defeat our nafs, can we defeat the kufar? This is the biggest point which is never called into attention by those who always take the name of Jehad. Further, even if we do call it into attention, can we make the others to do TAZKIYYA-E-NAFS? Would others listen to us? Are we strong enough to do jehad? If some of us feel, it is upto them. If not, then what Islam guides us? Muslims did not do jehad 9with sword) for almost 13 or 14 initial years against the Kuffaar-e-Makkah while their assassinations were never stopped by kufar. Why they did not do it unless they found a peaceful situation and little bit power at Madina. We should read, think and concentrate. We should not merely close our eyes and rush to one side blindly as we did when our roads were being set to fire by our own hands.

What we shoul do is, we should start a democratic process in Pakistan. Army ruler should leave his position. The current Chief of army should play his positive role. Political parties should be called for developing consenses and to leave the slogans like Na Khappey Pakistan etc. A strictly fair election (might be under observation of UNO) should be arranged and leading party /alliance should be given a chance to settle down for five years. Policies should be reviewed, Deprived areas and provinces should be encouraged and given equal rights through democartic process and by reaching agreeable consensus as Quaid-e-Azam did at his time. Education must be improved, Islamic sense should be revived in youth, farangi-ism should be controlled through positive and agreeable policies, federation should be stregthened by reviving the policies and creating unity in the cross cultural venues. Resources have to be efficiently and effectively utilized. Employment has to be improved either by jobs in public sector or through self employment schemes (keeping them safe from corruption). Health and medical facilities within the countary have to be improved and social justice has to be made available. The utmost important area is of ADLIYA / judiciary. The powers and role of judiciary must not be jeopardized by any means. These should be above anything in the country.

When we will reach political and social harmony and love / affection among various sectors and people, then comes the area of technical and economical improvement and empowerment. This is a very long phase. It may take 30 to 50 years for a nation like Pakistan to get such stability (not talking about empowerment). Only when we would be able to get stability on these areas, we should consider for instituting the Jehad Bil-Saif.

I know people will criticise me on this post, but, it is my view that we are not able to do Jehad Bil-Saif at the moment. This is the era of Jehad against Nafs. Going through this phase successfully and getting to the phase of technical and economical stability will take us to the point where we would be able to do Jehad Bil.Saif. Otherwise results will not be diffrent from Afghanistan. Dr. Israr Ahmed and Dr. Zakir Naaik have also made similar conclusions. It's another issue that so many of us dont even regard them as Aalims.

Now the issue is to create harmony among various areas of Pakistan to save ourselves from another Dhaka incident. The issue is to hold free and fair elections in the countary. The issue is to abstain ourselves to harm our ownselves and our other Pakistani brothers. Now the issue sis to get back to an independent judicial system. The issue is to send army back to its own role like public servants. The issue is to abstain ourselves from talking about Na Khappay Pakistan. I dont like Asif Zardari personally but I salute him just for the sentence where he raised the slogan "KHAPPAY PAKISTAN" and where he talked about unity of Pakistani nation.

Let's make Pakistan a united countary and make ourselves a united nation. Let's calm down masses around us and convey them the message of love and unity and harmony.

Remember, no one fired the properties of public and government when Hazrat Umar bin Khattab Raziallah was martyred. Remember, no one fired the properties of public and government when Hazrat Ali Karamallah Wajho was martyred.

Remember BB is not Naoozbillah more important than these noble men of Allah.

Talk about unity and hope.

May God we get rid of this Musharraf and his tola.

Always ready to face criticism.

Best regards,

Kamran.
As the time is passing by, things are becoming clearer. Though she had a socialist slogan, very few people would know that she taught Quran with urdu transcription to all of her kids. She was the hope for many and with her death, my beloved country's federation is failing to the breaking point. One might not see the effects now but we are bound to pay the price in the very near future.

Let me remind myself that it was President Ayub who first said to a visiting Bangali minister, "You are so much of a problem to us Why dont you seperate East Pakistan". His remarks turned out to be the first shot in a bloody chain of events that were indoubtedly instigated and fuelled by the Army Gens. They were then forced to surrender and their pride and honour was restored by the Bhutto family. it was the same stupid setup again that has landed my beloved country with the weakening federation today.

I don't know how you conclude that a socialist slogan forbids teaching of Quran.

By God if federation of Pakistan KHUDANAKHWASTA breaks, people like you are going to be responsible for that. Can you disagree that had Benazir been Punjabi nobody would had talked about breaking of federation!! The leaders are just trying to cash the situation and people like you have made them successful, and regretfully they are thoroughly successful. For me the aftermath of Benazir's death was far more painfull then here death.

Dear Goodman

Thanks for your considerate reply.

I reckon you do not consider me among those who are unaware of the threats our federation is facing. The nationalist elements you talked about were always there in our society. This recent incident, in my view, provided them with a chance to reinforce their point. I come to the point of retorting to your first post. What is being done here in post-12/27 scenario is we are frequently talking about breaking of federation and linking it with our history. I always doubt in whose favor our media is working which aggravated the situation to this extent at the first place. Secondly, the people like us who are repeating this reasonlessly are responsible. I admit that not talking about this won’t mollify the situation. However, this attitude has made the movement of nationalist parties a great success. True scale of problem is of course apparent, but my request for those who are in favor of our federation is that not to let these nationalist elements succeed by polluting minds.

Another thing, which confused me a lot how a single incident, no matter the assassination of a person, can change our view points to 180 degrees over night. Calling a person in good words after his/her death is a courteous gesture but it should not change our views altogether. If it is the case either our earlier views were incorrect or we are being unnecessarily emotional afterwards. I have quoted similar examples on this forum on the incidents of assassinations of Ghazi and Saddam. How come everyone suddenly come to know that Benazir was a great person only after her death? Those who initialing kept on criticizing her policies all of a sudden became her great fans. The role of media is notable in this regard. Initially it seemed to placate the annoyed masses, afterwards it become known that this served no other purpose than infuriating the situation. Of course they need to build up something to sell themselves.

I don’t know whether I am a racist/neo-fascist or not. I am against those who speak against the federation. At the same time I am of the view that we should not continue with this 19th century version of centralized federation. The solution to our problems may be achieved through a decentralized structure with more provincial autonomy. But some elements in Pakistan will never allow that.

To avoid my post getting extra lengthy I’ll just count on saying that you are mistaken about socialism. A socialist Muslim can exist. Bhutto was an example. You are mixing the term with Marxism. Socialism can be taken as just an economic system. Generally, the socialists are agnostics often called leftist, but it should not confuse us about the term. I had some detailed discussions on this point with some remnants of NSF but it would require some time to be discussed in detail

The passing of a few accountancy exams and confining accountants only to accountancy seems totally irrelevant at this place.

Dears,

The threat which goodman has pointed out exists in Pakistan. We were never supposed to remain together in fact. Just check out history of Pkaistan how people attached their territories with it. FATA and Balochs were told to remain independent if they will make a part of Pakistan. Sardaries of balochs will not be affected and independence of pakhtoons will never be jeopardized.

No cap was placed on these exemptions and the result is in front of our eyes. It is very simple that wherever and whenever full independence will be given without any centralized law and justice, things will go worst. If Pakistan was not supposed to be founded without these steps then why we found it. Why we abused the people like Abdul Kalam Azad. I know I dont personally favor the people who were against Pakistan. But our acts and deeds are proving them to be true.

We should think on our future, we should develope national consenses. It is really tough to find out the concept of federation which we wish and which we dream. Provinicial independence under lesser active federation may solve the issue but it will take the countary on the endge of another division.

Let's have some forbearance for each other.

Regards,

Kamran.
The threat of course is there and it had been throughout our history. But why we are aggravating the situation ourselves. I believe it is not in favour of Pakistan. Our media, our politicians, our intellectuals and civil society at large are responsible for worsen the situation. The major threat to federation of Pakistan is a political crisis which has purposefully been agravated in Pakistan. Every incident has been cashed to infuriate the anti-government centiments of masses. I swear I was not a supporter of govt. before last 27. Pakistan has become a play ground for world powers and I don't have any idea where this will lead to. The worst people of Pakistan unfortunately happen to be the politicians.

Whatever, I beleive at this point of time we should not let our anti-govt emotions close our eyes. I know that the fate of Pakistani masses is being decided without their approval. But unfortunately our supports go with anything that is against govt. I must say much of that is going against the interest of our country.

After this recent political chaos ends, I believe greater provincial atunomy will be the solution and in my personal view it won't bring the country on the verge of another division. It could have avoided the first division. Any threat to federation is only political.

Pakistan came into being to exist untill existence is there and we have to make this true. Though no idea what I or anybody can do for it.
Dear,

Certainly your emotions and words are correct and I personally dont find any difference in ur feelings with feelings expressed by goodman. You both love your country and dont want it to let down. Every good Pakistani has same wish.

May God strengthen my country !!!

I dont agree to ur concept of greater provincial autonomy. Though I dont much argue on this topic since nothing is in our hands but just to share, you live at Punjab and you dont know what happend in fact in other provinces. I agree Punjab's population is greater and it requires more resources but every one cannot understand it in essense. The major issue is of resources and if we will weaken the federation or central power, the provincial autonomy will create further issues which will never help in resolving the issue. Whenever Balochistan will have some grouse with Punjab, it will cease the supply of gas and punjabies will get freezed in winter. Likewise on any issue of Blaochistan or NWFP, Punjab will cease supply of wheat and it will result starvation and negative provincial budgets for importing or buying wheat. Similar issue is of water between sindh and punjab. On any such issue sindh can find a way by stoping all port activities of Punjab thus stopping entire business activity. I feel any such step will create further chaos.

What we require is national consenses. Passion for sacrificing. Messaging love. Forebearance.

And this does not seem to come under the flag of army.

Anyways, these are just the estimations since I am not a politician or big shot as pointed out by goodman.

Other day our President has announced that BB was responsible for her own death, because she came out of the sunroof of her own accord and was killed.
