Listen guys...you all live in dreams...you need to come to england and see the markets over here. Here all the job markets call CIMA,CIPFA,ICAEW,ACCA as Chartered Accountants. When you say that I am a Chartered Accountant they ask you which body are you from; ICA , ACCA , CIPFA or CIMA.Job advertisers say ACA or Equivalent which includes ACCA CIPFA and CIMA.or they say chartered accountant(ACCA/CIMA/ACA) required for a busy office.Goto CIPFA website and they say we are the only chartered accountancy body specialising in public companies etc etc.Rest is recongition.ACCA says you will have to complete the local requirements of the law in your country of practice to get practicing certificate. So it doesnt mean ACCA is not good or ACA is better. This all means All accountancy bodies are equivalent.Rest is the law requirement which apparently in Pakistan is not in favour of ACCA but in favour of ACCA in african countries,Singapore, Hong Kong , England ,Ireland,Wales, Scotland,UAE,and many other countries whom i dont know of.So always look at the bigger picture.Thats what is taught in Final exams of ACCA.So be mature enough not to fight like children.and look how much money ACCA are makingf in UK practices, Millions of Pounds per annum.Same goes for ICA.All are good.Just do any one and you will get the rest in future.

yeah agree with you.. here in ireland ...they say the same thing.. i mean ACA or equvlant... i dont knw y ppl compare ACA with ACCA? ( sorry to say but i got confused as well)..& nothing is easy in this world .. n if ACCA is easy .. y ppl in pak r uneducted y dont they just get degree of ACCA beacuse its easy n secondly i have red many msgs.. where lodz of ppl said ppl in pak are very inteligent etc etc i agree with them but saying that ACCA is easy.. i would say its discusting to say lyke that.. not only ACCA .. also any other course.
Assalam-o-Alaikum all the professional friends. I am new to this forum. My expectations are very high from all the fourm members especially senior students and qualified ACCA forum members regarding the guidance of new students like me. I have started ACCA with great entheusism by gaining 5 exemptions on MBA basis. Now I am student of ACCA part-2. I had heard that ACCA is costly but I did not think so because If one gets through all the examinations in first attempt, It can be completed in almost 150000/- to 200000/- rupees. But when I heard about the membership fee, It realy got me worried. Because withwout membership one can't claim to be ACCA. In other words if one has to show on his/her CV to be qualified ACCA, he has to retain the membership and obviously will have to pay annual membership fee. In this regard it becomes very costly especially if one does not get a suitable job on the basis of ACCA. So please guid me any ACCA qualified or senior forum member that if one do not want to become an ACCA member, of what utility ACCA is for him/her. I would be highly oblidged for the satisfactory answer to this complexity. Thanks.
Friend,

Don't get worried about these issues, pass your exams which is the important thing at this point in time. When you are an ACCA affiliate you have an option to apply for a reduced subscription for the first three years if your annual income is below a certain threshold. You are admitted to the register as an ACCA and will have to pay the full subscription once you start earning to the threshold. Note, that many employers will pay for your subscription as well. You can find details on the ACCA web page

Hi

I am acca qualifed and agree with that ACCA is much easier than ACA. Its only because of ACCA policies. ACCA is making her qualification easy every single day.

Just like in new qualification ACCA kicked 3.7 out and make it option paper. It sound like in coming yrs acca will not have any market in business world.

Khalid, London
Khaled It's no only you but other 100s of students and members feel very sad by this decision of ACCA....to remove 3.7 from core and put it in optional
