Is there any value addition from attaining the CIMA qualification if one is a qualified ACCA and/or CA?

ACCA/CA is a study directed purely towards an 'accountants role in financial matters'... Whereas, CIMA is aimed towards an 'accountants role in management'.

So obviously CIMA helps you get into management tiers and would be a plus point... However, a lot of people are of the opinion, that if a Chartered Accountant goes for extra qualifications or degrees, it's an idea more of dressing up one's visiting card rather than acquiring extra educational qualifications to broaden up career opportunities...

So its all upto you to decide.

salaam all,
mr. Evolution, CIMA is always helpful for everyone who wants to enhance his/her skills in business-world. it is alwayz a plus no matter wht ur background is. it is not "just" a qualification, it is a complete business education. 45% employers even prefer CIMA over ne other qualification in uk (according to a servey).
i personally know some ppl who r ACA, even FCA!!!, n have done or r doing CIMA. one is doing ACA (in his module E/F) n he has joined CIMA as well.
so it means tht CIMA definetly provides u an edge, wht ever ur academic background is.
