Osama,

Every quality qualification or objective of life has to demand something extra.

However, I personally believe ICAP is not that tough or impossible. In my career, I never got a single result against my expectations. I used to tell beforehand that what my result is going to be (paperwise). Even at the exam centre. Outcome never ever went against the predictions. You will get the output according to the scale and quality of input you are investing, providing for the meager amount of normal loss. I wonder how people claim to have un-expected results and then criticise the institutes.

Similarly, I believe ICAEW will also not give you a designation in free.

I cannot comment on BSC issue. I told that on academic side put your questions to PIBF.

Regards,

Kamran.
Assalam o alailum...
i want to do CA. so i need some help regarding TABANI's institute..
i'v got 50% in my inter examx...so what is the proceeger to take admision in such institute...

regard's,
Muhammad Rafi-ush-Shan.
Dear Osama!

I am affraid it would be impossible to get into an ICAEW Training contract with simply a BSc degree in a situation when people very close to completing ICAEW (3 or 4 papers) are finding it impossible to attain one.You will have to go for ICAEW exams as an independent student, pass as many as you can or else opt for ACCA or ICAP route, get maximum papers exempted and then have any fair chances of getting an ICAEW contract.

Seeing desperation and desire for best qualification really pains alot. Current economic and social conditions of Pakistan have worsen so much that highly competent and qualified people are in tragic conditions and coming generations are far too uncertain about their future. Another problem is that large amount of youth is heading towards the accounts and finance profession, you people may disagree but the number of vacancies on the technical side have again started to rise. Demand for computer professionals engineers and or other technical people is on rise.

Kind Regards
Uzair

Uzair,

You have very rightly explained the situation where great deal of candidates are wishing to step in this profession.

There was a time when people at UK used to refer the CA (ICAEW) Exam days as "suicide days". Now accountancy is considered one of the easiest fields at UK.

Over-commercialism, revenues war and number game coupled with indecent and illogical MRAs are pushing the overall profession into undesired depths.

Major damage has been caused by so-called "global" designations which aim nothing but to squeeze out the resources of poor green-grass dreaming people.

The claimants and advocates of globalized designations never feel how badly these have affected the quality. I am not talking about a few intelligent people produced every year. Majority is getting ruined and the people who are looting the resources of this majority by setting up black-holes (colleges and institutes etc) don't realize what the damage is being done to the future of this profession.

Students don't understand why these people push them to run behind a red signal which ultimately proves to be a non-stationary element.

Their objective of course is
to make money.

I always am of the view that the decision about career is the most important decision of the life. I always request people to don't ask the students to rush behind a non-stationary red signal. Some people oftenly object my words; may they be among the money makers or have gone through the experiences of entirely a different set up.

The entry to accountancy profession is currently witnessing the masses rushing in. We must realize that none of the quests is won by the masses. Here lies the fact of life.

Regards,

Kamran.
Mr Kamran. Thanks for providing this useful information to us. My question is .If I am a member of ACCA,have passed 14 papers of ICAEW and then I go to get article ship for 2 years of ICAEW,what will be my chances?

visit www.phoenixft.com , its the only ICAEW tuition provider in UAE. per paper fee is dhs5150 , around Rs110 000 excluding other costs. they provide visas to non working students . you should contact them and check whether tuition is provided for all or only some papers.

its an advantage to have relatives here, so you wont have to live in sharing accommodation with people who are very diff from our culture.
Sir kamran sahab and also rabiya I am waiting for comments from you people.
Mazhar,

I could never understand why a doctor is pursuing career in accountancy. Medicine is reverend, paying back, demanded, elite and noble profession. Anyway.

I use to say that no body can tell some one's future with surety. However, specific to your query I feel that currently the situation is quite disbalanced. There is a huge number which has enthusism for ICAEW considering it apple in comparison to ICAP that is considered orange.

Vacancies for ICAEW are limited, ATOs are limited, there is a great deal of reluctance at the part of ATOs that has many logical reasons, ICAEW is not that active at this moment of time in this region, and last but not least ICAP is always there which is the prime body and has to remain as such irrespective of whatever we wish or believe.

I again say I don't see a large number of ICAEW contracts openly available to students, at least in foreseable future.

You must test your luck with all required efforts because whatever assumptions suggest but luck can bring colors to any picture.

Regards,

Kamran.
@mazhar,
if you are in Pakistan then you should go for ICAP (CA). if you want to study for CA(icaew) then i will never want any1 to take exemptions from maximum papers. ICAEW designation, gained through this "backdoor" way is NOT recognized in many countries. its a waste of time and money.
Dont you yhink that It is my good luck that I have got ACCA affiliation by passing all papers of ACCA 16 papers and passing 13th and 14th papers. I am now A member of ACCA. A large number of CAs` are doing AC why you not give them the same advice Mr Kamran and Miss rabia?
mazharjee,

i don't give advice on this fourm!

the point i tried to make, is that ICAEW qualification gained via ACCA is not recognized by some countries like Canada, Australia and i think Pakistan too.i am not 100% sure about Pakistan.
ICAEw has excellent reciprocal membership arrangements with important CA bodies in most foreign countries. only ICAEW members who took admission through the usual entry route, can avail membership of those CA bodies.

yeah your lucky to become an ACCA affiliate. some day i will be one too , Inshallah, so i am lucky to!
i have yet to hear from an ACA (ICAEW) who is also studying for ACCA.

Miss Rabia,Sorry if my words seem to harsh. I want to say that If aca through ACCA is useless then how it can be good for ICAP members who r trying to get 14 mpapers exemptions from icaew.

Mr Kamran,do u believe that dozen`s of ICAp CAs` r going for ACA ,I was not beleiving on this but now I have seen with my eyes that there r many going after their CA for ACA. It means that CA from ICAp is not enough or rewarding as u say that ACCA is not alone enough. Will you agree to this or as usual u will show Hut Thurmy
