Why top ranking students are desirous to be a doctor or engineer and all other average ranking students join the chartered accountancy.
Whether the chartered accountancy is for those students who fail from entry tests of Engineering or MBBS.
Not all students who join accountancy are average students. But it is true that most of us join accountancy because of failures in other fields
One reason why the failed students join accountancy might be because it has comparatively low academic entry requirements and they don't have any other field left to choose from
Since childhood our parents want us to be doctors or engineers, and rarely Chartered Accountants. That is why most of us build up a mind to be either a doctor or engineer
Chartered Accountancy should be a priority too among us, which is not the case

Dear i am answering your question according to the current pakistani student ratio in colleges or universities and thier intrest.
Now mostly students focus thier intrest in that field where in future they can easly get job.
I think you missed IT field where maximum students move but no doubt in last 10 year maximum no. of students join accoutancy fiel due to a large no of jobs came in Banking Sector & other micro Financing Institute and as well as a big demand from development Sector ( Like NGO )
Very low no of students move to Accountancy Field due to fielier from Other Fields like Medical , Engineering or els

But majority of students (who came directly in Accountancy feild) had joined accountancy with the intention that they will be rejected from medical/engineering or they have attained low marks.
