2. To escape from the "Murghi wala"
3. Maybe there was a rooster on the other side
So it kinda depends on your perspective, which leads to....

Ans Turned out that the Chicken was an auditor by profession, so you can very well imagine why it did cross the road? 'it said so in last year's audit file !'
