Hi,

As you see in US, Pakistani bachelors and masters together is condidered equal to 120/130 CATS and B.Sc. Hons. degree from OBU is also equal to 120 CATS.

Therefore what i emphasised earlier that it should atleast be equal to 4 years' Graduate degree/Mater's degree in Pakistan.

Rabia i don't understand what is that 360/375 credits?

Hello Rabia,

I understand that the degree of B.Sc. Hons. from OBU is entitled to 120 credit hours but i don't understand 375 credits written on my transcript.

What's that 375 and what is the difference between credit hours (120) and credits (375) written on the transcript?

<br />I've applied. Not yet started.
I met a guy while submitting documents who was there to received his transcript. I happened to see his transcript. They transferred 4 credit hours to each ACCA paper up till Part 2 in first two years. Then they mentioned other 2 years details in which his grades were mentioned that he achieved in exams after submitting project (20 papers you have to sit after successful submission of thesis).

Shani! Yes we shall have to appear in 20 papers. However, the details of syllabus will be provided along with name of books. Those books will be available in their library (as told by the fellow I met). Each paper will be tested by 20MCQs (no big deal, right?). The only problem is that all these 20 papers will be tested in one sitting (400 MCQs).

I also received email from HEC and they confirmed that this degree is recognized. Now I'm ready to go for it. [)]

Dont what what this debate is about, you are comparing apples with oranges.

Anyway, I suggest some of these LUMS people ask their teachers about their qualifications. They will find many of them are ACCAs. Now thats interesting isnt it?

Hi interesting, read it.

Dear Adeel

In order to achieve a degree - a student must accumulate a minimum of 360 credits. Each module on a programme is worth a certain number of credits towards a degree - in the same way as your ACCA exam papers are worth a certain amount of credits towards the BSc degree.

In your case, you have accumulated 375 credits and have subsequently been awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting degree as we have validated your exams towards this programme.

We do not use the term credit hours at Brookes and therefore you may need to check exactly what the institution is looking for when applying to other places

Hope this helps

Kind regards
