Hi,
I'm an ACCA student doing my last Professional papers this Dec. I'm currently 28 years old. By the Grace of Allah I've cleared all my exams up till now in first attempt. A friend of mine told me that even though i have completed all my ACCA exams in first attempt, my age (being 28) is not a plus point for my induction in Big 4 firms. Is that true? Btw i dont look 28 years old, i look much younger P
I'm really worried after i've heard this coz i've studied too hard for my degree and at the end some 1 comes up and tells me that i'm over age for Induction in Big 4 Audit firms (
Some 1 plz tell me the truth.

yeah it does matter not only in big 4 but in other firms also.
but there r also other points like u passed ur exam in 1st attempt .it would also be handy.
but u might made it it depends on luck also. don't be hardhearted tho

Dude, if your credentials are good. Nothing should stop you from aiming high. Age matters for a few sickly people that unfortunately make it to HR departments. Like, according to employees of Atlas Honda, the National Manager HR at Atlas Honda Pakistan Limited has this habit of insulting interviewees and telling guys that they are left behind in the race and their qualifications compared to age are not good enough and telling them that they won't do much in life. But on the other hand, if you visit big4 firms, you'd find many guys in 30's doing articles for CA, thus you can conclude that you can make it to big4 and age isn't a relevant factor.
