There are a number of really successful students from Pakistan so people like me have a lot to learn. If there is anybody that knows about success and how to achieve it academically please give me some advice on how to study for accounting exams and score very well.

Forget that you have a life outside of your books for a few months. No girlfriends/boyfriends, no social life, no boozing, tv, sports or any other similar time-wasting activity. The only time you move your head away from your books is when you are sleeping or you are in the washroom (eating can be done while studying!!) The only tool you now know of is your handy calculator. Practice hard. Do all the questions atleast twice from your revision kit. Take as much mock exams as humanely possible. And ofcourse pray hard...!

i believe learning/studying styles differ from person to person and it is extremely difficult for one person to adopt somebody else's style. for e.g i cant study more than 4-5 hours a day spreaded over 24 hours, this is mainly because of the lack of concentration span i can spend on one thing, i m sure there are people around of similar problem. i can only suggest my experience and way of study and students who cant sit for long infront of the book CAN try this.
i live a normal HUMAN life before the exams and do all the things i normally do, in order to maximise my short concentration span i dig out all the relevant material before hand and concentrate on the basic bits first. it is always a good idea to have an over view of the topic and its relevance with the syllabus/exam, for that u can read summary/synopsis of the topic. for exams like ACCA/CIMA/CA this can be done by going through the examiners comments and answers, this enables you to know WHAT EXAMINER REALLY WANTS? dont forget its all about passing the exams. use bullet points and neumonics to memorise the most important bits and try to simulate their application in different scenerios/cases, this will make u feel confident that u can get the basic marks in ANY question, when u memorise any point try to define it in simple plain english and apply its jist to the case, this will help u get an additional mark for the same point and will reduce ur time to think for another point. once u think u are exhausted - take a break (do whatever u like for relaxation). apply similar technique again.
