ACA is the associate member of ICAP,(after completion of 6 modules)
An ACA becomes FCA (Fellow member of ICAP) after
1. five years as a practicing member.
2. ten years if he serves in an industry i.e. other than practicing CA.

Just like to add to that,

practising member as defined by ICAP is a member who is registered with ICAP as a practising memeber, meaning one who has a practising licsence.

so for most members (Working in the industry or an accounting firm) it is 10 years after you are regisered as an ACA.

Irfan stay around for a little longer and it will kind of rub off on you. Well some of us here are qualified accountants, I remeber being grouchy all the time when I was a student.....

So that refutes the age old myth that accountants are a bore....
