These are just general points

Lower teaching standards/ qualifications/ training
Increase in class sizes
Lack of support for speacial needs pupils
Lower expected standards by parents
Restrictions placed on disciplining problem pupils
Change in syllabus/ focus of education (3r's to science focus)

salaam all,

well, i wonder whether v have ever had a good standard of education!! so no question of its falling)))

neway, one point tht i feel is tht ppl dont make the right decisions in selecting the qualifications/careers. i mean it if v talk abt graduation/masters or other professional qualifications eg ACCA,CA etc.
whn a boy/girl completes his/her F.Sc./A-level, (s)he is driven (mostly) by
1) the 'scope' of the prevalent qualifications. eg, few yrs back, IT was the word of mouth for eveery one, ppl blindly entered into it, no one cared whether he has the talent for it or not! same has been the case with medicine n engineering. v cluttered it without thinking tht it is not our cup of tea, exactly.

2) our parrents, in most cases, have strong influence in selecting career, eg, most parrents want their child to become engineer/doctor n try to put him in it, n dont care wht the actual talent n ability their child posses. for eg, he might become excellent performing art expert, musician, etc etc

3) lack of proper career counciling institutes tht could guide the upcomming stdnts in exploring their 'right' paths

4) students n their teachers n the parents shud try to realize the 'right' or 'hidden' talent of the student n try to encourage him towards it, rather than enforcing a particular type of education upon him. bcoz, if a person pursues the right qualification, the one tht is exactly according to his/her elements, then (s)he will automatically become a leader in it.

so these r my personal views abt already pethatic conditions of our education.

do talk about the DOUBLE STANDARDS in pakistani education system.
Grammar Schools Vs Peela School.

in addition to what label mentioned you may include

- brain drain
- teaching a forbidden profession
- Double standards
- corruption in regulatory boards
- absence of a central monitoring unit
- pathetic syllabus

yaar there are hundreds and hundreds of things u can say on it

Hey i think Pakistan has some great schools (at least when i was growing up). I went to a cheap PAF school and i miss my time there. i went to college in US and my pak education was more than sufficient to outclass US competition.

basically, you just gotta be committed. school doesnt matter.

what up dawg?

Well In my view point the only reason for this is that our education system dont have any importance for Govt.
