Hi Mr. Whappa ! I might think that your interest in Accountancy firm . So Listen if u can digest heavy dose (GOLLY) then silpy go for CA. Then go for ACCA (meri tarah) . OKZ
It will be more better for u bcz u also have 2 yrs experience and u r willing to join Taseer Hadi ..... So simply straight forward to Accountancy degree MBA will create hurdles in your way espescially in that type of firms.

Hi Asif, its me Danish
Frnd why r U comapring two fields, although MBA and CA/ACCA r inter-related, but the knowledge of a Chartered Accountant is much more than an MBA.
MBA studies r not in much depth, either in finance or financial reporting.

Hi Danish Its good to see you on board. Yaar actually I was not comparing MBA to ACCA/CA. I just wanted to know about that what should be the fruitful decision that whether a person ought to do MBA ( 2 yrs programme) or should be obtained 2 yrs relevent experience(instead of doing MBA) in a good reputable firm! Which one is the most value added activities.? which is better for future growth.? if a person is just ACCA/CA qualified then from what way he can capture other fields & areas for making strength & quality like MIS, Marketing, Human resource managment etc etc.( ACCA/CA qualified are more intellectual & expert in finance & accountancy fields..not any other specialized area, right.? then what you think that is it enough for us.? Can u capable to imagine the real business process chain of an entire organization to get after Just ACCA or CA.?). wel Danish actualy this topic was freezed on, but if u want to make some relevent comments on my quiries then i would welcome you on a warm days <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

And I hope that you would qualifiy ACCA in this session.INSHA ALLAH.

REGARDS

MBA is best from the 2-Years Experience may be of a Chartered Accountants because Qualification is must. When you qualify something then you have to get relevent experince

Assalam-o-alaikum

well mr. whapppaaa, i think u should join the firm and at the same time join MBA. As MBA in evening or executive can be easily done alongwith the job.

YEP[Wink][Wink]

I think it is a good option; as every body knows it. I also do so as i have completed my MBA and same time i get near about two years experience in Chartered Accountants Firm

its true that MBA and CA are two different field CA students have very high expertise in finance while MBA are not the masters of finance but they are jack of all. they have more diversifeid knowledge.. that is very good.. rather to have only financial expertise.. like CA students have.. thats what i believe as business Graduate..

If you think you can do your MBA from a top notch world top ten uni, I'd suggest you go for that rather than ACCA/CA.

- label - 09-21-2005

If you are looking to increase your desirability to future employers, why not demonstrate that via expereince and studying for the MBA simultanesouly, as is the case with a lot of professionals (not limiting this to the accouting profession) this is broadly better thought of.

I believe that MBA is a specialized degree equipping you with the techniques of how to you manage your day to day business matters as a whole and not in a specified area like finance rather it includes finance/HR/ADmn etc.And if you compare it with the experience in a firm, that may help you in one good area that is finance and not beyond. So i think better to have one MBA from a reputable uni. and if 1/2 years is spent in a firm that would add to the value.
