IT of module 'D' - Ali Akbar - 11-16-2004

Salam to all,

Now the examiner of IT of module 'D' is trying to reflect the image of IT of final level of CA. So how one can coup with the preparation of this paper, as the most portion of the paper seems to be irrelevant to the syllabus contents!

Replies are requested from the concerned members only.

ICAP is the best.

Aslam u alaikum
I think that ICAP needs general knowledge of practical IT knowledge from students of module D.

For example i didnt take classes of IT and passed at first attempt just because of general knowledge even i read PBP one day before the paper.
ALLAH jane kaise pass hua lekin ALLAH ka lakh lakh shukar haie ke pass ho gaya.
so ur ratta does not matter to ICAP
it is ur presentation of ur knowledge matters.

Salam,

Sarfaraz bhai you are very much right in saying that examiner tests general knowledge of IT, but now the trend of examiner changes. The teachers of IT have admitted that these type of questions should not have been asked at this level which the examiner has asked in Autumn 2004 attempt.

ICAP is the best.

Yaar ALLAH ka lakh lakh shukar hai ke aik to qualification aisee hai jahan ratta nahi chalta; jahan aap ke concepts ko measure kia jata hai; jahan professionalism chalta hai............ and many more

meri dua ye hai ke aap sab pass ho jao lekin ICAP ke merit par poore utar kar.

Aslam o' alikum,

I have such an experience in IT of Module D that no one had ever possessed. In Autumn 2004 MashAhllah I had given third attempt only and in only IT and still not able to pass it. I had passed all previous 12 papers in almost first attempt except O.B B.C but this only paper cost me 1.5 years in firm as unregistered trainee.

With such a wide experience in IT-2 I am still not confidence that i will pass it in Spring 2004 and that is all due to the type of questions asked in the paper. Believe me that whole paper is out of syllabus and no one after the exam can say that he can pass paper.

I had read PBP for CA, ACCA, PBP of Module "E" and blue book plus some notes of my tutor but they all seems useless. There is hardly any book left. I dont know what ICAP expects from us.

The equation is quite simple.
Last 10 papers + Co Law + Audit + Costing = IT-2

asslam o alikum
i am unable to clear IT for last two attempts.i donot know what icap wants from us. i mean what is the reason of asking accounting questions in the paper of IT.in last attempt examiner asked to make lease amortisation schedule as a excel question and input and output of sales and inventory systems.one should ask him whether he is not given the broad syllubus of IT WHen making the paper.
i personally feel that it is only luck which will succeed u in IT.because i know some boys personally who says that they passed the paper even withOUT studing pbp thoroughly and some boys have nearly read six or seven books but still they are failing. why! i guess only GOD KNOW.

ICAP IS NOT THE BEST.

I will still say that ICAP is the best. I like the exam system of ICAP which is purely based on testing the conceptual/practical knowledge of students in a logical way.

I think, had the examination system of ICAP being implemented in allover Pakistan there would have been no complaint of unemployment.

Some peoplemay disagree with me.

ICAP is the best.
