You have to sit for the last Module of CA which would be advance auditing and things like that plus intern-ship for minimum 3 years.

Asalam o Aliqum,
I can't get it, why you are not trying for ICAEW? If u complete ICAEW you will have max exemption from ICAP. Is it difficult to join ICAEW there? or are you facing workpermit problems?

Good question

First all icaew is very expensive in the UK. I am full time student therefore I cant work more then 20 hours per week, as you know for icaew you should have full time job in accounting field.
To get the work permit is very hard with out good job.

If you apply for any good job, employer would ask you about 3 to 5 years previous experience.

Hi...
you are not serious...are you?
Find accountancy practice in London and Department for works is very relax on trainee Accountancy work permits provided that you are a genuine trainee... which i believe you are...... People are moving forward and you are seeking advice to move backwards in your career. come on,,, find a training placement in UK

AOA (Asalamo Alaikum)
I think Sajjad needs to do a bit of home work. He can get a trainee ICAEW position if he really wants it. In fact with the ACCA quals under his belt, he will have proven to any employer that he atleast has the capacity to pass the exams. As already stated, get real Sajjad, get off your seat and find a trainee position.

Hi all,
if Dar sb. doesnt want to join ICEAW then why everybody is trying to convince him, as most of us dont know the situation in UK, (Joota kahan saya kaat ta hai yeh sirf pehanay walay ko pata hota hai)
as far as i remeber, sajjad just wanted to know the scope of ACCA in pakistan, and i think he is really in a good position to think about his future,

If I'm not mistaken, Mr Zubair himself studied from London. So I guess he knows 'joota kitna kaat ta hai'... And the theory of 'paani ki gehrai doobnay walay ko hi maloom hoti hai' somewhat invalidates here.

Hi sumaaan, there are many other means to measure the depth of water, its not necessary to get a dive, but if u have to know the "jootay kee takleef" then u must have to wear it, this is the only way which i know, if u know another one, please let me know, it will be an addition to my knowledge

Hi,

This message goes out to everyone ; I wanted to know what shall an ACCA qualified in Pakistan do, to get registered in ICAEW and how would he seek work permit.
As from late 2004-2005 application of IFRS, the whole EU wide, will increase demand for International Stream students. This shall create opportunities for people like me to seek such a route.
How would you interprete such an opening coming.

As far as Mr.Dar's question was concerned, I would like to state that, since ICAP has revised its exemption policies, now an ACCA qualified has to appear in full Module E and F, that are 8 papers and 3 years of articles to qualify for the ACA status. I would also like to mention here that, working in an audit firm here in Pakistan wouldnt provide the experience which you might be able to get being in UK.
