StateLife give scholarship to study actuary in UK? - Shuja - 02-02-2005

Hey guys,

I heard a rumour that State Life Corporation Offers scholarships to students wishing to study actuarial science abroad, is this at all true?

Desert Sleet sometimes you like a machine or infact a search engine to me, in the case above you just moved in to find the topic wiht the word 'State' and ignored the other word 'Life', your reply to shuja's post is very similiar to the results of a search engine.




As for Shuja's query, State Life recruits students after some aptitude tests for a training program for Actuarial Students, but I have never heard of scholarships to students wishing to study actuarial science abroad. They only give their trainees their stipend.

I'm not sure whether they have any such policy or not. However, if they do have it then probably for UK they might restrict it to LSE and City university.

Having said that it doesn't make any sense any organisation offering scholarships for persuing a professional qualification (ofcourse with exeption for research). There is a perfect arbitrage here.
