AIA - Evolution - 08-01-2003

Does anybody have any information on the Association of International Accountants (AIA)?

- sumaaan - 08-03-2003

According to my knowledge, AIA doesn't have an examination centre in Pakistan or even India, although it is one of five Recognised Qualifying Bodies of UK (others are ICAEW, ACCA, ICAI, ICAS).

To gain the AIA qualification, three years accountancy experience is required in addition to successfully completing the examinations. This can be gained before, during or after study for the qualification.

The course outline is as follows

Foundation Level
Professional Level I
Professional Level II

Individuals holding UK Accounting degress are exempted from the Foundation Level and Professional Level I.

I don't have much information about the market standing of AIA, job openings, or future prospects.

Thanx everyone. I dont agree with smraza as to the worth of AIA & ACCA being equal. ACCA is a member of the CCAB which AIA is not.

thanx evolution for updating me, as i didnt know that AIA is not the member of CCAB, actually, some days ago, i met my friend who did his ACCA from UK and now seeking articleship (UK), he told me that he is gonna do AIA now, as it carries more worth all over the Europe, (I think he may be telling ACCA+AIA carries more worth)
Regards

and the information about AIA which i provided is exactly the copy -paste email from my that friend, i just replaced my name with yours <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
