<font face='Georgia'>Assalam O Alaikum everyone, My name is ahmer I currently am doing BBA. Someone please advise me what should I do after BBA , either MBA, CA or CMA. I know I'm very good at accounting infact one of my teacher advised me to go for CA. Suggestions r welcomed.</font id='Georgia'>

we are most welcome in our field, (CA),
First of all you must be financially sound, (in that means that your parents dont have any monetary expectations from you till next 6 years) AND
you must consider the following facts,
1. a situation may come, that after 6 six years (precious time of your life) you may not get any qualification.
2. You will have to forget your social life for 6 six years,
3. You will have to do late sittings (hot topic of the forum)
4. You will get during your articleship an amount which you will not be able to finish(bcaz if you have finished it then you have to go to client on foot <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>,
5. there is a shortage of girls in our field. (please go to the topic women in accountancy, so you will be able to understand the reason)

Between the choices of CA, CMA amd MBA.......
Go for CA....no question about it, however do consider the points raised by SMR....... and yes no girls......even the girls who are in the field are like guys (no offence intended...)

dear the_ahmer,

since u r doing BBA, i would suggest u tht u complete ur MBA after it. after it, u sud select CMA or ACMA. actually, i have been researching these things since last yr. i have realized tht best thing after BBA/MBA is ACMA. it beautifully complements MBA/BBA qualification. additional benifit will b tht u get exemption from 10 papers (out of 24 pprs) in ACMA if u r doing it from ICMAP (www.icmap.com.pk) n upto 8or9 exemptions if u r doing it from CIMA of UK (www.cimaglobal.com). plz vizit these sites or contact me personally at the_farhan@yahoo.com for further info abt these things. i shall not recommend u CA or ACCA after it for several reasons ... i absolutely dont wanna under-estimate the worth of ACCA or ACA. bt the reason i dont recommend CA after MBA is tht it shall take 6-yrs atleast for CA n it also includes 4-yrs articleships. bt since u will have a professional degree of MBA, u will b quite capable of getting good jobs n supporting ur family as well. plus, ACMA(CIMA,UK) or ACMA(ICMA,PAK) dont require articleships, all they need is three yrs relavent experience tht can b obtained b4, during or after completing exams ... so i think CIMA/ICMA r better options, these r flixible n adjustable according to the needs of stdnts. plz dont take my words as a final verdict ... make ur own decision.
