CA/ACCA??? - nauman612 - 06-17-2005

Assalamoalaikum,
I am Nauman. I just gave the HSC part II papers and have an intention to do CA in future. But my plan is to do CA after doing ACCA. Now someone told me to do the CA foundation first and then do ACCA dring the 18 months gap during the Articleship. Please tell me which path is better. Please help me out inselecting the better option.Secondly please tell me which is better between TSA & Al-Hamd?
Thanking you,
Nauman.

you wouldnt go wrong with either of TSA or Al-Hamd. As far as your question about ACCA and CA is concerned there are hundreds of threads comparing them, honestly I would prefer CA as ACCA doesnt really have that much recognition and CA is a proper qualification.

BTW I am also Nauman )

Dear,

If you want to go for both the qualifications then i would strongly recommend basen upon my qualifications and experience that you should first go for ACCA then claim exemption for module A, B, C and D of CA exams and also the reduction of 1 year in the training period. It will also reinforce your accounting background and facilitate you to pass just the final modules of CA exams.

Thanks
