studying for CA privately - going concern - 08-23-2005

I am an ACCA student and I wish to appear in ICAP papers alongside my ACCA ones. I believe that ICAP has a rule stating that it is compulsory to join an institute inorder to appear in ICAP papers(note that im not a graduate and have completed my A levels). i feel that this rule is unnecessary because it hinders students like me to take CA exams by studying on my own(which i feel i can as i m now in Part 2 of ACCA).

what are ur views on this?
do u have any suggestions to help me regarding this dilemma?

Assalam o alaikum
Dear this is not only ICAP's Policy but i think for almost all professional Bodies.I am in ICMA and same procedure here. But in ICMAP you have an option to go for Correspondence course rather than coaching classes. As per my knowledge AAT also has the same policy. Can you do ACCA privately? (i don't think so)
