Hi
CFA is an excellent study program, great course content, consider it seriously only if you're interested in institutionalised money/asset management. Its quite difficult to complete, the work-ex requirements are quite stringent.
it has 3 levels, 2 objective mcq based with -ve marking & third level has caselets.
I gave level I in Dec.

i also would like to comment and pass on the info that i have.
I have heard and i am sure it is true that the best paid people are the finacial analysts. even if you are an ACA and working in the field of audit you may not be earning that much as compared to an ACCA or CFA who is a field of Financial Analysis.

CFA related work environment will be highly stressfull, so I'd guess you would enjoy it![D]. Shouln't be too difficult for you as long as you are comfortable with quanti(math & stat).
I have no idea how the charter is valued in Pakistan, as i am not aware of the fin.markets there, but i can tell you this, a career in investment is very lucrative, whereever you have well-developed financial markets.
i didn't clear level one(lost out bigtime on ethics section)this time, so will give it again next dec. I am using schweser notes too.
