FTC or BPP: which is better? - ausmanpk2001 - 04-06-2006

Hi. Which book is better for ACCA part 2 FTC or BPP especially for private study? In CAT my experience was that FTC is better becaz it doesn't give excessive details... but dunno about ACCA,,,,

Comments & opinions are requested from CAT/ACCA students.

I would go for Bpp, I think its more structured! You may find "TOO MUCH" in it but nobody reads everything!!! Atleast I didnt.

Thanks Azeem Shah. Laikin meri problem yeh hai kay sub kuch parhay baghair chain nahin aata. is it still feasible for me? Please do reply

I am sure you will be FORCED to change your study habbits very soon.

Please bear in mind that these text books are usually designed to pass examinations, the contents are mostly same anyway its just the stucture which is different. Honestly I would still go for Bpp, although I did refer to ATF (AT Foulks Lynch) text in few papers.

Upto you bro, you decide what suits your study habbits )

BPP is good if you have enough time to read. I think BPP is more difficult for self-study than FTCs. I liked FTC lucidity and it made whole part three very easy. I studied BPP up to end of Part2 and I felt I have burdened myself too much even I could have easily passed using FTC stuff but for part three I used FTC text book and exam kit and they did pretty well for me.

And as Azeem Bahi said its up to you what suits your study habits.

Asif

I chose FTC. I hav experience of both books. BPP is too much lenghty, giving too much details & maybe much more examples. Its really difficult & especially its length horrifies me always. so i made the decisin to use FTC but some people may not be comfortable with it.

i'll say BPP study text and FTC revision kit
