Assalam alaikum
Can anyone plz tell me what is commercial insurance?
Moreover, I am giving SOA exam FM and M this spring inshallah, after which I plan to do articleship. Can anyone plz tell me that which firms in the non-insurance sector can I join and which non-commercial insurance cos. can I join to gain the relevant actuarial experience.

If you have taken the GI route why don't you go for CAS papers - CAS exams are better for GI career.

Didnt know this thing before. I think I can get exemption from CAS exam 3 if I pass SOA exam M.Rest of the papers (i.e. exam P and FM) are the same for both. So I can switch b/w the two at this stage.

Also plz tell me wht is commercial and non-commercial insurance?
