What is meant by K - Zikria Yamin - 05-27-2006

Dear Friends
I read at many places the salary of a job is used to mention as 85k , 45k.etc.
Please any one if knows ,please reply.

Dude, are you kidding? Sometimes common sense do help - what do you reckon 'k' would representing while quoting salaries?

It represent 1000's, so 45k = 45,000

And in case you wonder these salaries are quoted per month in Pakistan.

and dear forum members there is nothing to be surprised that somebody doesnt know the meaning of K in term of salary.
