This is our great dilemma
can anyone tell me that whether the changes that took place in the current budget will be examined in the september 2006 exams of module c or not

changes made within last six months of exams are not examined...so the answer is No...

I mean ofcourse changes will affect C8 Tax. It always happened in the past. New commentaries on Tax will be available soon.
So, Mr. Shukla & Gupta, you got to be prepared according to the latest.

Budget brief is available on www.kpmg.com.pk
Moreover, amendments incorporated in Finance Bill are always examinable in next coming attempt. The rule of six months is applicable on SROs etc and not on Finance Act. This is authenticated and can be confirmed from ICAP also.

But i wud suggest also go through SROs, the rule may be is as mentioned by Ali but there is no surety it will be followed

Consult yellow book page number 50 para 2nd. It clearly specifies that rule of 6 months apply on SROs, and Finance Act/Ordinance and SROs specific to that Finance Act only shall be examinable from forthcoming attempt.
