assistance required - FARA - 06-16-2006 Hello, I have recently given my second year exams and I am very much confused bcoz i don't know much about the institutions of CA and I hav a cofusion that; Is ICAP a institution where the education of CA is provided or it is just tht exams held there and it affiliate other institutions. Also guide me abt institutes of CA and do they hav apt test. - accountant1 - 06-16-2006 icap only conducts exams . for Ca studies you have to join ICAP Registered Accounting Education Tutors (RAETs)( also called icap affilated accountancey collages) for detail list of REATS Please vist following link http//www.icap.org.pk/Education/LST_RAET.htm modular scheme There will be six Modules namely A, B, C, D, E & F. Foundation and Intermediate Level examinations are held in March and September each year and are called Spring and Autumn examinations respectively. Professional Level examinations are held in June and December each year and are called Summer and Winter examinations respectively. Each module will consist of three papers with the exception of Module D, E & F which will have four papers; Papers passed will be retained as per rules of progression provided referral level marks have been achieved in all the remaining papers of the module. if you need more information regarding icap you can contact me @ islamabad_@hotmail.com - accountant1 - 06-16-2006 Pre Entry Proficiency Test (PPT) Pre-entry Proficiency Test is mandatory for all entrants opting for various routes of entry for acquiring CA qualification except those who are exempt from PPT. Exemption for PPT HSC candidates with minimum Grade B (60% marks); A level candidates with minimum two passes in Grade C; Graduates with 1st Division (or equivalent grades) from recognized Universities; Post graduates with minimum 2nd Division (or equivalent grades) from recognized Universities payment of prescribed fee. Such candidates will be required to obtain necessary exemptions from Directorate of Examinations at ICAP on prescribed form and on payment of prescribed fee.
