hi all, AOA.
i have just come accross AIA (Association of International Accountants) ... i have vizited www.aia.org.uk bt i still have questions tht r related 2 pakistani-environment
1) we all know tht ICAP has strong support n roots in pakistan? so, wht r the scope n market of AIA in pakistan? will ICAP allow ne accounting body 2 florish n survive in pakistan tht deals on the same grounds tht ICPA does, ie, auditting&taxation??? v all know the situation of ACCA here ... ACCA also is related 2 audit&taxation. so how do u comment abt AIA in pakistan?
2) do there exist ne tution=providers, exam-centres, training-providers n other supporting things in pakistan for ppl who wanna persue AIA???

Yes you are correct by stating the fact that ICAP would never let any other accountancy body dominate the market in Pakistan... Its quite obvious, certain and to an extent acceptable... I don't blame ICAP for that...
So the prime accountancy body will always be ICAP, and especially currently you cannot compare AIA with ICAP... There's no way you're gonna come up with a justifiable result...
As in the magnitude of my knowledge, I can't find a three dimensional vector that points towards a plane where I can see an AIA board... So you'll have to go through the AIA syllabus and study by yourself... But you may be able to find teachers who will help you out with some specific topics or areas of syllabus.
