Dear,
Bye laws are the notified procedures that ICAP has adopted for various matters. These are in consonance of CA Ordinance 1961 and were latestly revised in 1983. Bye Law 106 means its section (clause or article) 106.
Paid leave means that no deduction would be made from stipend of the student against such leave.

As far as I know the student has to work for extra days equal to the number of extra leaves availed

Shoaib is correct. Firm will inform ICAP in advance in such a situation and get the approval for extra days to be worked by the student.
Upon approval, the articleship tenure is enhanced accordingly.
