Importance of Cert.IFRS and Dip.IFRS - Zikria Yamin - 07-17-2008

Dear Seniors,
Please Put some light over the importance of Certificate in IFRS and Diploma in IFRS offered by ACCA.

To what Extent they can be helpful for ACCA students.

Hoping....

In my opinion, this is designed for accountants with non IFRS background, I believe your ACCA covers IFRS, see no point in it.

You already study IFRS in ACCA or CA and become well versed with it. These courses are designed for non-finanace managers or the finance managers who are too outdated with the latest development.
Go get classes if you want to learn IFRS.

Yap i agree with people who say that CA and ACCA people who r in practice are uptodate with IFRS but sometimes people in industry r out of touch with changes in ifrs. And this is where CIPIFR and DIPIFR by ACCA can help u recall your concept by learning and getting certifications.
Another important things is CPD points which r available to ACCA affiliates/members on passing acca approved courses like these.
