Need help - Questions about ACCA, CICA and CGA - shady - 06-19-2009
Hi,
My name is Shahid Ramzan and i am currently studying in lahore school of economics doing BBA. i have completed 2 semesters from there and now the problem that occurred to me is that my family is in faisalabad and i have to look after them because my father is not present in pakistan right now and would come back in about three four years. i have decided to leave lse n study ACCA from fsd im somehow confused right now because after 4-5 years our whole family is going to migrate back to Canada. but i prefer CICA and after doing ACCA and then CGA and then CICA is there any short cut? could some one please guide me through this please...

Hi,
There no short cut for CICA. If you complete your ACCA, you will get CGA certification immediately because both the institutes have mutual recogniation agreemets. Once you get your CGA you don't need to do CICA. You will get the same kind a job after your CGA. However, CICA will make a difference if you want to do practice in Canada which has its own unique issues.
