you can very well study 5-6 hours a day...but use that time for EFFECTIVE studies...a study is effective if u could retain knowledge of whatever u hav read after a day or two. The best way to retain knowledge is to make ur own notes. After reading a chapter from the study text...close the book and jot down all the points u remember from that chapter on ur notebook...if u can produce sufficient points...Bravo! U've had effective study.....if u cannot...then u've wasted ur time.....so,read that chapter again and repeat the process. The key thing is to reproduce the concepts (they might be in different wordings)...but do not try rote learning ("ratta" method)!
Regularly revise from the notes u hav made as u wud then be able to recall everything from the study text.
Whatever understanding of the chapter u hav gained; explain it to someone...explain it to ur classfellows, colleagues, anyone!

Keep an exam focused approach throughout ur studies...regularly revise the past papers and pilot paper...only go into that much technicality of a chapter as required in the exam. Anything more than that is a waste of ur valuable time. Practice a lot from the revision kit...n try to solve the questions under time limitations.

try to follow the above tips...but dont make it a chore... atleast my results improved significantly when i followed the above mentioned tips....so it can work for u as well.

I think ur main problem is the too much study bec might you have heard that the excess of every thing is bed.however,i will say that your study level may perhaps be high from the level of ur eximination so i will suggest you that answer the question as the eximination states
