any exemptions from CA modules ?? - hiba - 08-02-2009 Can i know if Alevels students are exempted from any CA modules??? i came to know that modules A and B GET EXEMPTED provided we get some specific grades in specific subjects...any1 can guide?? - ausmanpk2001 - 08-02-2009 You can be exempted from Paper(s) - A1, A2 and B3 I'm not sure what subjects theses papers relate to because I'm an ACCA student. Some CA or Student maybe able to guide you more. however the Eligibility Criteria for exemptions is * Minimum two Bs on an overall basis; * Minimum B in relevant paper(s) from which the candidate is seeking exemption; and * 70% match of course content of relevant paper(s). Source http//www.icap.org.pk/web/links/41/forqualitystudents.php - Odyssee - 08-02-2009 A1 Functional English A2 Quantitative Methods B3 Introduction to Economics and Finance A2 is exempted on the basis of B in A-level Mathematics B3 is exempted on the basis of B in A-level Economics i m not sure that whether A1 is exempted or not for A-level students. If any such exemption is provided to A-level students then it might be on the basis of General Paper, but general paper is not an A-level subject (it is AS-level). - tariqsohail - 08-02-2009 Odyssee, I there any exemption for A-Level students in ACCA in the similar way which you mentioned for CA students. I need this information to guide somebody. Regards, Sohail - Odyssee - 08-02-2009 Students who have completed their Intermediate need to do CAT before registering as an ACCA student. On the other hand those who have passes in any 2 A-level subjects can directly register as an ACCA student. It is also necessary to have minimum C's in English Language and Mathematics in the O-levels in order to avail this route. In other words CAT is exempt for those who have passes in 2 A-level subjects IF they have minimum C's(70%) in English Language and Mathematics in O-levels. I hope this helps. - hiba - 08-02-2009 how mch tym will it save for us if v get xemptd frm A1 A2and B3? - Odyssee - 08-02-2009 aforementioned exemptions would save 6 months of a CA student. I would however, recommend you to confirm about the exemptions on A1 from ICAP. |
