Why aren't our universities in the top 500 - Dard - 03-09-2010
hI PpL,
Our Country has some great universities, like GIKI, LUMS, IBA, which are recognised abroad too. The sad thing is why isn't any of our university ranked in top 500 universities of the world? What are the basis of ranking? Is there any official ranker of universities?

Hi Dard,
As far as I know there is no uniform body which does these analysis. However, in case of different researcher doing the same job, there is no big difference in ranking. You can get much detail about ranking criteria and other related information on the following link

According to QS Universities ranking, NUST is at 350th Number.
